Providence Plantation Homes for Sale

First off it is important to note that Providence Plantation is a rather large established neighborhood with over 700 home sites. Providence Plantation was founded in the 1970′s and some of the more prominent home builders most active within the subdivision included Harry Gimmer Homes, Toll Brothers, and Pulte Homes.

There is little doubt due to its superb location, mature tree growth, and community recreational facilities that Providence Plantation is one of the most popular and sought after neighborhoods in the Charlotte metro area. If you enjoy rolling heavily wooded landscapes with stately oak trees and large home sites from .3 to over 2 acres, then Providence Plantation is definitely worth of a more detailed examination.

Home prices can vary but range from the mid $200′s to $900k plus, a sample of current home listings follow and you can view all Homes for Sale in Providence Plantation by utilizing the link provided. Given the number of active listings, there are also often a few special situations that may interest the cost conscience buyer, for example Short Sales within Providence Plantation.

Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club

Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club

You can’t really discuss Providence Plantation without reviewing the neighborhood’s Racquet and Swim Club and the local Home Owners Association (HOA).

What I love about Providence Plantation is that the Home Owners Association and the Racquet and Swim Club are completely separate entities. The HOA dues of $80 annually, at the time of writing, is very reasonable for professional security patrols, maintenance of common grounds,  regular newsletters, and advertisement of neighborhood social events.

It is important to note that membership to the Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club is optional and not associated with the Home Owners Association. Currently (at the time of writings) membership includes a $600 dollar initiation fee and $600 dollars per year.

Moreover the facilities are exceptional featuring:  six lighted tennis courts so you can play day or night, a Tennis Pro Shop with professional instructors available so if lessons are in your future you’re covered. The pool facilities include a junior Olympic sized pool, separate kids pool area, snack bar, grills, and covered decks. Best of all competitive swimming-meets and Tennis tournaments are regularly scheduled and offered.

Providence Plantation School System

The South Charlotte School District is one of the leading systems in the area consistently outperforming their counterparts. The Charlotte Mecklenburg School assignments for Providence Plantation include Providence Spring ElementaryCrestdale Middle School, and nationally acclaimed Providence High School.

Providence Plantation How to Get There
