Charlotte NC Area Independence Day Fireworks & Celebrations, 2019
Let the Independence Day celebrations BEGIN! Here is a list of some of the area’s most popular events. If you would like to add your event to the list, don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly - I’m happy to add your planned celebration to our list!
THURSDAY, JULY 4
BB&T Ballpark, 324 South Mint Street, Charlotte. 2 p.m – 10 p.m. Mint Street shuts down in front of the ballpark for this all-day street party featuring music and family entertainment. Catch a Charlotte Knights baseball game. First pitch for the game is at 6:05 pm as Charlotte Knights take on Durham Bulls.
Town Brewing Company, 800 Grandin RD, Charlotte, Uptown, 4:30PM to 10PM – Celebrate Independence Day at Town Brewing Company. The chef is preparing a seasonal cook-out menu which consists of American favorites, made fresh and in-house. Watch one the ‘big’ fireworks displays right from their patio. Located just 1.2 miles from the Charlotte Knights Stadium and their annual fireworks display.
Trump National Golf Club Trump National Golf Course (formerly The Point), 9:30PM – Fireworks display is launched from their Driving Range; boaters are welcome to view the fireworks from the water, but because Trump National is a private club, there will likely be limited and controlled parking by land.
19th Annual 4th of July Pig Pickin’ in Plaza Midwood: Midwood always does the Fourth up right! From 4-10PM, Midwood’s crawl will include BBQ, music and a whole host of things to do in some of Plaza Midwood businesses, including RoCo, The Diamond, Snug Harbor, Thomas Street Tavern, Midwood Smokehouse, Legion Brewing, Moo & Brew, Pint & more.
Tega Cay 4th of July Celebration: This year’s festival begins with a land parade at 9AM followed by a canoe joust, a boat parade, the Carolina Ski Show Team’s performance, the Splish ‘n’ Splash Summer Bash (at Golf Course Pavilion Area) with water inflatables, DJ, face painting and the ever-popular fish fry. The fireworks begin at 9:30PM.
WBT SkyShow Street Party and Charlotte Knights Baseball and Independence Day combine for a fun festival (2-10PM) that includes bouncy houses, vendors, live music and more at the SkyShow Street Party. Then enjoy baseball & fireworks as the Charlotte Knights take on the Durham Bulls at 6PM. Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, JULY 3rd & 4th
US National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway. The Center has this two-day festival down-pat! Enjoy outdoor adventure, live music, yoga and the popular fireworks display (both evenings).
THURSDAY & FRIDAY, JULY 4th & 5th
Carowinds, 14523 Carowinds Boulevard, Charlotte. 9:30PM – This Independence Day event is known for knocking your sparklers off! Celebrate America Fireworks Show – Breathtaking show that illuminates the skies above the Carolina state line in one of the area’s largest and most impressive Independence Day fireworks displays, accompanied, of course, by patriotic music, sure to give you the true Independence Day celebration of the heart…and eyes!
